Committee Purpose: This committee has been in existence since the Foothills RETAC started in the year 2000. They are responsible for creating, updating, and distribution of the five-county Foothills RETAC "MCI Plan". We are also very involved in the planning and participation of disaster preparedness in our region. This includes mock disaster planning, working with our County Emergency Managers, and also with intimate participation in our North Central Homeland Security "All Hazards" region. What's new for the Committee: We're updating our MCI Plan! Stay tuned as the MCI committee updates our current MCI Plan that was completed in 2004. Bob and Bill are also working hard to develop the Plan and Operational Guide as a resource for our prehospital agencies. We hope to move forward with a program to bring that information to our region when the document is complete Stay tuned for more information as we progress. Membership: Bill Dolan and Bob Marlin are our Co-Chairs for this committee. Some of our other MCI Committee members include Tom Candlin of St Anthony's prehospital Care, Hank McCarthy from Longmont Fire, Allen Pulliam from Grand County EMS, Nick Boukas from Evergreen Fire, representatives from Pridemark Paramedics, AMR and many of our other agencies and facilities. Please come and join us for these meetings. We get a lot done to improve EMTS care within the region. |
| NEW MCI Trauma/Burn Caches Placed The FRETAC is very excited to announce the placement of our 7th MCI Cache in our region! This project started in 2005 when the RETAC received a grant through HRSA for 4 caches. Since that time, the RETAC has funded 3 more caches ourselves. The caches are located in Evergreen, Dumont, Black Hawk, Granby, Louisville, Boulder, and at the 285 corridor at Elk Creek Fire Click here to see the Medical Resource Guide that we developed in conjunction with the caches! The new supplies utilize a new regional system utilizing "drop bags" containing necessary first supplies for all responders. A big thanks to all of you that worked on this project! |
