Description: The Foothills RETAC Data Collection Committee
was formed to comply with our obligation to collect and maintain
data from our prehospital care providers.
Membership: The FRETAC Data Collection Committee was
formed in mid 2003. Hank McCarthy, EMT-P and EMS Educator
for Longmont Fire is our current Chair for that committee. Hank
brings a lot of experience to the position, and is an advocate for
data collection in the EMS community.

| New Information: So much to choose from...... Wow, have we come a LONG way in the last year with EMS patient data collection! CDPHE now has the ability to collect your data in a variety of ways. You can pick the best way to collect your data that fits your agency The CDPHE, with Sam Delp in charge of the project, have been moving full steam ahead with the program. We're awfully sad that our own "Geeky Medic" Chris Montera, has moved on to other things, but with Allen Hughes and Mo Bachmann continuing with the project, we'll keep moving forward with Sam in the lead. The "Web-based "option is up and running, and ready and waiting to receive your data. This may be a great option for smaller agencies that have not moved into the world of electronic data collection, or that have a small volume of calls. There are other ways to get your patient information to the state, either through downloads from your own software, or you can even receive the state's "PC Utility" that you can download to your office computer.
